Assistant Controller (on-site only) MUST HAVE CPA
Location: Hollywood, FL
Base salary: $110k to $125k plus benefits

The ideal candidate for this Assistant Controller position will oversee the bookkeepers, day daily management of the accounting and the financial reports. He/she will also be working hand in hand with the Management Team and Headquarters to ensure productive financial operations.

Assistant Controller Job Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing and controlling the activities of the bookkeepers.
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual closings
  • Create the monthly, quarterly and annually financial reports by the US GAAP.
  • Manage and track budget and accounting information including billing, collections, and tax information
  • Working with external auditors on quarterly and annual audits
  • Assist in the creation of budget and forecasts
  • Managing financial controls and accounting procedures

Assistant Controller Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field; MBA preferred.
  • CPA Must Have
  • 3+ years' accounting experience
  • Proven, solid Excel and QuickBooks skills
  • Results-driven personality, eager to partner with upper management to organize, plan and achieve company financial goals
  • Hands-on
  • Microsoft Office and Internet-based applications experience required.
  • Exceptional time management and ability to problem solve
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Previous experience as controller
  • Previous finance industry experience – an advantage.
