About the job:

The Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) is responsible for administrating prescribed medication and limited topicals; perform routine resident care, and meet physical and psychosocial needs of resident under direct supervision of a registered nurse.

Schedules available:

  • Part time Mon/Wed/Fri 7:00am - 3:30pm and occasional weekends
  • Part time Mon/Wed/Fri 3:00pm - 11:00pm and occasional weekends

Salary: $17-$19 per hour BOE

Required Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • A minimum of high school education is required.
  • Registered or certified as a nursing assistant; completion of a state approved training program in medication administration;
  • CPR
  • Experience in a long-term care facility as a registered or nursing assistant.

  • Ability to understand resident's charts
  • Numerical ability necessary
  • Motor coordination and manual dexterity required

Essentials:

  • Administration of medication and treatments as delegated by a licensed nurse.
  • ADL assistance to residents as assigned and observation of the resident's general status.
  • Documentation of resident's behavior, medications and treatments administered and performed.
  • Attend designated nursing meetings and in-services, as scheduled.
  • Keep up with knowledge and education of new medications, indications and potential side-effects.
  • Maintains medication and treatment cart stocked with appropriate supplies.
