Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Chief Engineer to join our growing team! In this role you will get to lead an engineering team in designing, building, testing, and troubleshooting hardware to maintain and enhance the current and future platforms that include lasers, IR/UV emitters, RF based systems and more!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Independently develop and supervise the creation of engineering products. These products may include the following...

  • Complex electrical, hardware and system designs

  • Printed Circuit Card designs

  • RF System Design

  • Cable Design

  • High Power laser system design

  • Engineering Drawings and processes

  • Design and installation packages

  • Proposal evaluations

  • Technical reports and Detailed analyses

  • Initiate review meetings to discuss functional specifications and facilitate the effort to translate them into software requirements

  • Develops complex test simulations to verify features and functional specifications

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • MS in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering and 10+ Years of Experience

  • Proficient in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering drawings and printed circuit boards is required (Altium desired)

  • Power system design to include AC and DC distribution

  • Requirement’s analysis, component selection (contactors, breakers, connectors, DC-to-DC convertors), circuit analysis and packaging considerations

  • PCB design, analysis and sizing related to control of the power systems and controlling mechanical devices

  • Design of embedded micro-controller systems to include analog, digital and power systems

  • Strong debugging skills with test equipment (scope, logic analyzer, embedded debugger)

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Embedded Software Experience

  • Microcontroller Atmel SAM series

  • Interrupt service routines discrete IO, ATOD and DTOA, Serial interfaces

  • A strong understanding/background in military standards and specifications to include but not limited to: MIL-STD-810 (Environmental Engineering) MIL-STD-461 (Electromagnetic Interference)

  • Hardware and Electrical design standards

Salary Range:

$136,200.00 - $245,200.00
