Job Description

Pierce Atwood is seeking a Chief Operating Officer who will play an integral role in leading and managing the firm. The COO will work closely with the firm’s Managing Partner, Management Committee and other members of firm leadership to ensure the exceptional delivery of services in finance, human resources, technology, facilities, and general operations. The COO will report to and serve as a strategic business partner to the Managing Partner and will lead a team of five direct reports. Candidates should have a minimum of 10-15 years’ experience serving in senior operations or financial management positions with sophisticated, multi-office professional services firms, preferably law firms. Superior financial management skills and a deep understanding of law firm economics and accounting principles are required with a strong preference for prior experience in finance or accounting management positions.
