This Total Rewards Consultant invests in the future of Southwest’s People in their support of the strategy development and deployment of the Total Rewards package. This role works collaboratively with Teams in the People, Learning & Development Department, particularly the Human Resource Operations Team, to best understand and champion the strategy surrounding compensation, Benefits, travel, and other perks available to our People. The Total Rewards Consultant is passionate about connecting with and advocating for our People, and they’re excited to join the innovative and impactful Total Rewards Department. They’ll have the opportunity to learn and grow in their expertise each day and help pilot the future of Southwest Airlines.

This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work onsite on our Corporate Campus at least three days a week. Job Summary
Leads projects and programs that support and solve immediate and long-term strategic changes to the Total Rewards of Southwest Employees. Responsible for all aspects of project management for one to multiple highly complex and highly visible projects over the entire life of the initiative. Understands complicated business objectives and scope and assembles cross functional experts to deliver superior results for their projects. Works closely with accountable delivery Leaders across the enterprise to ensure assigned projects deliver on business objectives and value, while managing scope, timeline, budget and risk.
Responsibilities
Contribute to developing strategies and business insights from qualitative and quantitative information
Distell complex problems into simple summaries and define project plans to create and implement solutions
Manage for multiple simultaneous complex projects or for a single highly complex project/program including scope, budget and schedule and executes tasks defined in the project plan to achieve project goals
Validate and develop business cases and drive alignment with Customers, utilizing this to develop project scope, objectives and goals
Establish cross-functional alliances within and outside of the Total Rewards Department to drive results
Use standard program and project management methodologies and practice, adjusting to the needs of the projects
Partner with resource managers, Business Partners, and vendors to assemble a project Team and provide ongoing motivation to drive projects to completion
Lead and facilitate project meetings and presentations to Leadership, including Sr. Leadership and Executives
Proactively monitor and communicate risks, issues, and scope, ensuring the appropriate level of priority, visibility, and escalation
Encourage consensus among multiple parties with conflicting and diverse viewpoints
Build trust and influences without authority cross-functionally and across diverse teams
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leader
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Skilled in understanding and applying information to contribute to the organization's strategic plan
Skilled in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Skilled in data analysis and synthesizing information into concise communications to stakeholders using an array of tools (MS Office based)
Ability to use statistical and mathematical models to draw conclusions
Ability to effectively listen to, understand, and communicate ideas presented in writing and/or in speaking with all levels of the organization
Ability to quickly understand assignments and complete them with a high degree of accuracy with minimal leadership oversight
Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels within the organization
Ability to function under stress, meet deadlines, prioritize multiple/competing tasks, and work collaboratively with a team Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Advanced experience and knowledge in:
Working directly with Department Leaders (VP and Director level) on complex business changes and improvements
Developing and executing business plans
Managing all phases of large-scale programs, with an emphasis on complex business change
Developing and presenting recommendations to Senior Executives on self-created opportunities
Leading Teams, setting Team goals, managing competing priorities, presenting to 20 or more people, and interfacing directly with Sr. Leaders and Executives

Physical Abilities
Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.
Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $ $92,950 to $103,300 per year * depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the
discretion of the company.
