Prologis is seeking an ambitious and passionate Digital Energy & Sustainability Solutions Director to drive the strategy and implementation of digital, technology solutions supporting Prologis’ energy and sustainability programs and our offerings to Prologis customers as we drive towards our net zero goal. This role will develop and implement our technology solutions strategy for energy and carbon management programs as well as digital customer engagement for sustainability solutions. This position can be remote or remote/hybrid at one of our 30+ offices across the US.
You will play a meaningful role as part of a top-notch team of professionals who are driving value for Prologis as we grow from ~400MW to over 1000MW on our buildings by 2025 in contribution to our net zero by 2040 strategy and the preeminent leader in sustainable logistics as supply chains charge toward decarbonizing. We’re installing electric vehicle charging, storage, investing in renewable energy power purchase agreements (PPAs) and helping our customers understand and reduce carbon emissions on the largest global logistics platform based on GDP throughput (~3%!). We aspire to be the leader in providing sustainable logistics solutions to our customers and our technology strategy, roadmap, and solutions will be instrumental in this success.
What’s Needed In Order To Do That
- Define and implement the digital vision and strategy for energy & sustainability (e.g., implement a comprehensive system architecture and solution set for energy & carbon data)
- For Prologis’ energy, sustainability, and mobility solutions portfolio, develop and drive a cohesive strategy for digital customer engagement and solution presentment in collaboration with Essentials, product marketing, and other connected teams
- Manage and be accountable for the successful implementation of an energy and carbon management software platform for Prologis leveraging a leading 3rd party sustainability software
- Organize workshops and manage requirements with cross-functional stakeholders including energy, sustainability, mobility, ESG, and technology teams for systems implementation
- Elicit, identify, document, and refine requirements from business problems to detailed user stories and acceptance criteria that may include technical requirements
- Prioritize delivery of products and features through product backlog, planned maintenance, coordinates releases and promote change alongside technology leaders
- Drive continuous improvement, prototyping and digital innovation in response to business requirements and technology innovation/ capabilities.
- Ensure product roadmap and vision are communicated to the business and development teams
- Track and report on work completed, capacity, backlog, velocity; develop and manage to software, technology, and services budgets
- Forecast product/feature delivery timelines
- Use metrics and feedback to improve team and organization processes, best practices, performance, and delivery
- Assist with deployments and production support issues

- 8+ years of experience in Innovation, Sustainability, Consulting or Digital, of which at least three years as Product Owner or (Senior) Project Manager, depending on the job
- Knowledge of corporate sustainable logistics needs and Scope 3 emissions perspectives
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and get creative to develop executable projects
- A history of collaboration, problem solving and communication that drives overall team success
- Positive, innovative, and collaborative attitude, strong ability to communicate across departments and drive to results
- Strong written and verbal communication skills especially in relation to customer interaction
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
- Prior exposure to sustainability reporting and peer to peer networking tools preferred
- Knowledge of working with data and application integrations API management is a plus
- Able to travel up to 40% of the time
Hiring Salary Range of $178,000.00 - $222,000.00. Salary and total compensation package (bonus target and long term incentive) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, and skills, as well as internal pay equity and alignment with market data.
