Job Summary:
Leads the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of enterprise wide programs and initiatives related to affirmative action, workforce diversity, and disability inclusion. Overall responsible for the development of affirmative action programs, including oversight of compliance and regulatory reporting, and the creation of enhanced disability inclusion programs, which align and support the company’s DEI and business priorities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develops disability and affirmative action strategies and executes actionable plans for implementation
- Provides leadership and oversight for the evaluation of affirmative action plans and disability programs
- Leads and directs the design, development and implementation of disability programs at Walgreens. Directs and oversees implementation and maintenance of affirmative action and disability reporting. Monitors and partners internally as necessary for internal training programs.
- Conducts and/or directs disability, affirmative action and diversity related research and analysis in support of the organization’s disability inclusion and affirmative action goals.
- Oversees analyzes of internal data to identify areas of opportunity that may impact business results, affirmative action objectives or achievement of diversity goals.
- Identifies external trends and benchmarks related to both affirmative action and disability programs that inform and compliment internal workforce analysis and research.
- Develops and directs strategies to capture, synthesize, and analyze workforce data from across Walgreens in support of established disability and AA goals.
- Develops key internal relationships and serves as an internal resource to other departments to provide diversity, disability and affirmative action perspectives.
- Provides fact based insights to assist in the identification of diverse talent management strategies (succession planning, performance management, sourcing/acquisition and development)
- Researches external DEI best practices / competitive intelligence and manages relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external
- Functions as subject matter expert and thought leader in matters of disability and affirmative action.
- Carries out the duties and responsibilities of advancing DEI agenda as set out by the Board and key executives.
- Identifies external trends and benchmarks related to both disability and Affirmative Action programs that inform and compliment internal workforce analysis and program development and implementation.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and at least four (4) years of experience in AA Compliance and at least four (4) years of experience leading disability initiatives at a large company, OR High School Diploma/GED and at least eleven (11) years of experience in Diversity and Inclusion, Disability and AA.
- Working knowledge of EEO laws and OFCCP regulations, such as EO11246, Title VII, FLSA, USERRA, 503 ADA) as well as state laws relating to workforce and pay data.
- Experience with development and implementation of affirmative action; disability initiatives and diversity training programs. Experience in the creation, deployment, analysis and reporting of Disability Initiatives and Affirmative Action and training programs that align with these initiatives.
- Experience or familiarity with utilizing statistical analysis, research methodology, and/or statistical analysis software, such as SPSS, SAS, etc. to identify and solve for areas of opportunity for the company.
- Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to bring in new thinking in support of strategy and program development in support of department goals.
- At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
- At least 3 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross functional team leadership.
- Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in areas such as business or HR. DEI certification.
- Experience working for a global company. Passion for advancing diversity and inclusion work and developing and implementing best in class disability inclusion programs.
- Experience speaking in panels, webinars, etc. with internal and external partners.
- Experience managing team members in a virtual environment.
- Experience working on disability inclusion strategy and programs
- Experience working with data integrity and quality assurance
