We are seeking a top-notch candidate to join our team as a Director of Events & Community Engagement. This person will play a critical role in managing our events, overseeing marketing efforts in our network, and leading community relations in our market, which includes Fairfax County, Arlington and Montgomery County.


As a Director of Events & Community Engagement at MOSS you will support, collaborate and belong to a team of dynamic professionals who are the face of the MOSS experience, a team striving to exceed expectations from start to finish. Successful candidates MUST live in market as position will involve in office and remote work.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organize company events (onsite and offsite)
  • Represent company at community events
  • Develop positive rapport with prospects/leads/customers
  • Develop a highly engaged customer community to drive brand recognition, lead generation and customer retention
  • Drive referrals to the sales team
  • Seek out and nurture opportunities to develop strong, and mutually beneficial, relationships with key community groups and influencers
  • Create opportunities to promote company within the community
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent, required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong in-market network
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weeknights and weekends, to attend, and represent MOSS at company and community events
