Job Summary

The M&A Integrations Director, HR Operations will serve as an organizational leader in the successful coordination and execution of all HR Operations activity to support Cox Automotive's increasing M&A activity, including working cross-functionally to coordinate and execute due diligence, integration planning, ensuring a clean transition and experience for all employees involved. The M&A Integrations Director, HR Operations will work directly with a broader M&A team as well as HRTS and other Operations leaders, workstream leaders, People Solutions leaders, CEI HRTS and IBT, IT, Finance, and Communications to accomplish key objectives impacting various parts of our business.

This role will require strong leadership to advise, lead, sequence and deliver large, cross-functional initiatives, and has the added responsibility of interfacing directly with senior level team members across the business to ensure alignment. The successful leader will be an ambidextrous leader who is adaptable, highly emotionally intelligent, and can bring an entrepreneurial spirit to the role while leveraging Cox Automotive's considerable assets to best enable the People Solutions team to meet its potential. Additional responsibilities include:
  • Partner with the overall People Solutions' M&A Leaders to develop and execute M&A due diligence on behalf of the HR Operations team
  • Partner with business, operational and M&A leadership to drive assessment of the M&A technology requirements, inclusive of platform considerations, onboarding of services and general M&A activity.
  • Provide thought leadership to the M&A implementation team to drive standardization and development of repeatable and scalable best practices.
  • Consult with HRTS Directors across CAI technology landscape to understand how the M&A fits within the current CAI platform design, identify technology gaps and develop solutions to address the business needs of the M&A.
  • Introduce M&A technology business requirements to the CEI system of delivery via Epics, Features and User Stories.
  • Partner across People Solutions and with other key business leaders to develop and deliver key initiatives to the benefit of Cox Automotive team members. This includes developing and refining workstream goals, objectives, timelines, outcomes, etc.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual updates on the progress of key work to various audiences across the business, ranging from front-line team members to senior leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with other project management resources and workstreams across the business to ensure alignment, proper prioritization, and manage collisions.
  • Provide project management leadership and support for large-scale projects across Cox Automotive's People Solutions function as needed.



Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 10 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 8 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 5 years' experience in a related field; or 14 years' experience in a related field considered.
  • 10 or more years direct experience in human resources, change management, transformation or program management or equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
  • Direct experience managing M&A activity is required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of industry-leading Program Management methodologies and/or frameworks.
  • Ability to collaborate and partner with various subject-matter experts and other delivery teams (e.g., IT, ePMO) across the organization.
  • Proven experience in the development, implementation and management of a complex transformation initiative.
  • Proficient in value stream mapping, process capability analysis, data collection and analysis, financial impact, root-cause identification, etc.
  • Proven ability to resolve conflicts and/or neutralize organizational resistance to change.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate productive meetings with excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proven complex problem-solving skills and demonstrated outcome delivery
  • Strong ability to build internal and external relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to lead conversations at the most senior levels with strong executive presence.
  • Demonstrated ability to be successful within a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and partner with various SMEs across the Cox Automotive organization
  • Demonstrated direct and indirect leadership skills including the ability to inspire others to follow
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate and adapt strategy and approach based on changing business conditions.
  • Expert level experience in negotiation, collaboration, influencing, and working in a matrixed environment. High degree of self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
  • Proficient with business productivity (e.g., MS Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint) and project management tools
