Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Primary Objectives and Accountabilities of the Role
- The Environmental Inspector will report to the Environmental Manager and monitors construction activities to ensure all Environmental requirements are met.
- Responsible for monitoring and confirming compliance with mitigation measures required by the FERC Order and other grants, permits, certificates, or other authorizing documents
- Provide guidance and support to Contractor field personnel to confirm that all environmental requirements are understood and met.
- Monitor Contractor construction work to confirm that activities adhere to project environmental requirements. Confirm Contractor personnel have required environmental training.
- Identify and assist in resolving environmental deficiencies and events in a proactive and timely manner.
- The inspector is also responsible for following up on events and deficiencies to confirm they are resolved and must prepare daily and monthly reports documenting corrective and preventative actions that have been implemented.
- Confirm applicable Project documentation is retained and readily available at the Construction site/office.
- Prepare status reports as per the project guidelines
