As a Field Application Engineer, you will be responsible for providing the premium support that Infineon has been known for a while, engaging customer engineers and engineering management to build trust-based relationships; If interested apply today!
In your new role you will:
  • Use your knowledge of automotive applications and systems to recommend application solutions, design ideas and products to customer design teams
  • Use experience in electronic design and development to review customer schematics and PCB layouts, support customers during technical reviews and troubleshooting exercises, and support potential quality issues
  • Set up, demonstrate and support Infineon product evaluation boards used by customers
  • Work in the lab with various test equipment to verify customer issues and to validate solutions and design ideas
  • Be knowledgeable of competitor solutions and how Infineon products and solutions compare and contrast to them
  • Engage with the sales and marketing team to develop value positions to promote relevant application strategies as appropriate for the given customer
  • Use customer relationship management tools to keep track of customer opportunities and collaborate with other team members

You are best equipped for this task if you have:
  • A degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years experience as a hardware engineer at an OEM or Tier 1 or 2 Automotive Company or as a semiconductor field application engineer
  • Electronic system design, including conception, block diagrams, schematic capture, PCB layout, build and debugging
  • Experience using development tools, including schematic capture, PCB layout, electrical stimulation, and thermal simulation
  • Experience designing systems that include some of the following: Voltage Regulators, Motor Drivers, High/Low Side Power Switches, MOSFETs, CAN, LIN, SBCs, LED Drivers MCUs, Flash/RAM Memory, Sensors
  • Experience with lab/development tools such as Oscilloscopes, LogicAnalyzers, Voltage/Current Meters, Power Supplies, Soldering Tools, and other lab tools
  • The desire to work in a fast-paced environment and help others with your knowledge and experience
  • Additionally, you actively listen to your business partners and enjoy building trustful relationships. You set ambitious goals, make use of the knowledge of your team members, and share your know-how.
  • Furthermore, you keep profitability in mind and are able to prioritize your technical activities from a commercial point of view.
