  • Plans and conducts Aircraft Monitor and Control (AMAC) testing. Develops test plans and test procedures, leads Air Force and NNSA testing on the aircraft as the Test Director, analyzes SWIFT data and reports results.
  • Ensures all requirements are tested or analyzed for compliance to the applicable specifications.
  • Performs complex and comprehensive analyses and uses systematic, disciplined, quantifiable approaches to determine if the aircraft can monitor and control the weapon(s).
  • Leads test plan working groups (TPWG) and Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs).
  • Provide test expertise for System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRR, SDR, PDR, CDR, etc.), test infrastructure, cyber testing, and incorporation of simulation & modeling into the air delivered test programs.
  • Communicate with the platform NCM on test requirements and schedules.

  • Employee must meet Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements, which includes achieving Test and Evaluation ?Practitioner? certification category within required timeframe after appointment.
  • In accordance with the Ethics in Government Act, 1978, employee may be required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of multidisciplinary professional engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to effectively apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development, execution, and advisory services.
2. Knowledge of development engineering methodologies sufficient to apply experimental theories and/or new applications to issues and provide technical advice and direction in support of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment.
3. Knowledge of systems engineering practices and procedures as they pertain to sustainment, modification, logistics, and production management principles, concepts, policies, and systems.
4. Knowledge of the principles of planning and program management; of standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures; and of other engineering disciplines used in support of sustainment, modification, and maintenance programs.
5. Ability to devise and evaluate criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelationships for design approaches; to assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes; and to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, form conclusions, and devise and recommend solutions to problems.
