Job Description

The Human Resources organization at Citi is building a new Data Governance group. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals with experience in data transformation and/or data management to enter at the “ground floor” and contribute to the future organization. The role will report to the Head of HR Data Management and will be accountable for defining and executing a data distribution strategy for HR data across Citi. In this role, you will lead a team that serves as the primary point of contact for data consumers across the firm. You'll be responsible for ensuring HR data is available and fit for purpose for use in regulatory reporting, business analytics, and other downstream processes. Requires a comprehensive understanding of modern distribution strategies and how they can be leveraged/deployed to improve access to data.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the adoption of data distribution best practices and processes, ensuring data is consumed from authorized sources and that appropriate data "contracts" are in place
  • Serve as primary point of contact for consumers of HR Data. Responsible for establishing data contracts with consumers of HR data and complete certification activities
  • Collaborate with HR Data Quality to ensure data provided to consumers is fit for purpose and aligned with agreed upon contracts
  • Partner with HR Data Owners and Providers to define data offerings and ensure data is ready and available for consumption
  • Partner with HR Technology to define technical strategy for delivery of HR data across Citi including infrastructure considerations
  • Remain in compliance with Citi Data Governance Policy and procedures as defined by the Enterprise Chief Data Office (ECDO)
  • Perform or supervise tasks that are part of the daily production process to ensure that data from key platforms like HR Data Warehouse and Workday are sufficient quality for the firm's management and regulatory reporting.
  • Work with internal and external partners to implement new processes as needed. This can include developing business requirements, process mapping of current and future state processes, communicating implications of new processes and facilitating the change management program to move to the new process

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience working closely with data and/or technology. HR Data experience preferred but not required.
  • Outstanding analytical, strategic and problem solving skills
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, able to build a broad base of support among key decision makers
  • Excellent organizational skills in order to manage multiple high-complexity, high-priority projects simultaneously

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience / Masters degree
