HR Generalist
Opportunity:
The Human Resource Generalist handles the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including administering pay, benefits, and leave. This position will be responsible for creating and enforcing human resources policies, procedures, and best practices while maintaining regulatory compliance with federal and state employment laws.
Our HR Generalist must be focused on helping us grow the right way, ensuring we remain an attractive place to work and a place that fosters the development of talent. This role will support our Director of HR in ensuring our culture and team member experience continue to positively evolve and remain strong. It is an integral role that calls for incredible flexibility and an opportunity to learn as needs shift in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of our
HR Generalist
:
- Improve organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; emphasizing benefits and perks.
- Audit and approve payroll and any compensation changes.
- Provide support to management, and other staff when complex and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to oversee and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Attend and provide guidance on employee terminations.
- Conduct and acquire background/drug checks and implement new hire orientation.
- Work with leadership to assess business insurance and benefits, and administer new insurance and benefit policies.
- Monitor 401k deferral changes, contributions, and manage regulatory compliance.
- Create and administer company surveys, sharing results and action items with leadership.
- Conduct one-month interviews with new hires and exit interviews with terminating employees.
- Create, edit, and execute company policies. Update employee handbook as needed.
- Handle HR related issues and questions for employees such as company benefits, payroll, onboarding, etc.
- Lead efforts to level-set compensation amongst roles, and advise leadership of appropriate market rates to ensure consistent application throughout organization.
- Evaluate, manage, and adjust if needed our company’s performance management process. Work to ensure our processes are providing the desired outcomes that best serve our team.
- Manage unemployment and COBRA requests.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
- Stay up to date with trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications of our
HR Generalist
:
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field is preferred or applicable experience in related field.
- PHR or SHRM-CP credential preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects simultaneously.
- A highly confidential individual with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Executive presence and the ability to build positive relationships with employees and colleagues at all levels, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Must have certain technological skills, including proficiency with HR information systems, other HR-related software applications, Outlook, and MS Office.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to evaluate and interpret data to support decision-making.
Travel Requirements of our

:
- Semi-annual participation in national CertainPath Expo may be required.
