Injection Mold Technician
Job Description
The primary function of the Injection MoldTechnician is to set up, operate, and maintain Certified Thermoplastic’sinjection molding processes and equipment. The role is intended to be allencompassing and includes both development and production responsibilitiesdepending on the current business requirements.
Responsible for documenting mold change and machine adjustments including troubleshooting and equipment maintenance.
Makes effective technical decisions and communicates them to engineering, production, and management to support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Work with production personnel to ensure molded components meet requirements and make adjustments as needed.
Ability to work towards and maintain production schedules for on-time delivery
Managing raw mold material to ensure traceability and prevent contamination.
Generate documentation on mold runs for traceability and reproducibility.
Work with Quality and manufacturing departments to ensure the quality of production and products produced meet company standards.
Maintain a clean and organized environment.
Ensure safe working practices are followed.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in injection mold equipment set up and production
Ability to work independently and self-troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and material issues
Experience with Wittmann Battenfeld and Arburg equipment a plus
Physical Demands
Ability to work in high heat manufacturing environment
Occasionally required to lift/move up to 55 pounds
Frequently or constantly required to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects about facility
