Established in 1945, FGM Architects serves PK-12 Education, Higher Education, Faith-based, Municipal, Public Safety and Recreation, Federal and Corporate clients from our offices in Texas, Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, and Virginia.

We welcome Interior Design candidates who are eager to take on the following responsibilities and possess the skills and credentials listed below:

Responsibilities:
  • Works in a collaborative team environment, supporting the development of the project’s building program and interior design, including furnishings, color and material palettes, and preparing project documentation appropriate to each phase and work well within project deadlines
  • Prepares presentation materials, including renderings, to communicate design ideas and guide our clients through the design process, bringing well-considered options to them for review and timely decision-making
  • Researches and assesses manufacturers’ materials and systems
  • Understands the technical implications of design decisions and contributes to the development and documentation of a practical, buildable design that is coordinated with architecture and engineering systems
  • Represents the firm well in project meetings and industry events and continues to build a professional network of clients, consultants, and peers
  • Maintains and manages material resource library
Skills and Credentials:
  • Professional degree in interior design from an accredited program
  • Interior Design registration preferred or on the path to registration
  • Dynamic, creative, critical thinking and detail-oriented
  • Strong desire for design excellence
  • Well-organized and able to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Very proficient in Revit Architecture with experience in both preliminary design and construction drawings documentation
  • Proficient in 3-D modeling and rendering in 3-D modeling software
  • LEED or WELL Building Design accreditation, or on the path to accreditation, preferred
