IT Project Manager:

RKON is seeking a full-time, permanent Senior IT Project Manager. In this role, the individual will be a self-motivated, results oriented, experienced Project Manager to manage and organize key IT infrastructure migration engagements. Project management responsibilities include delivering complex infrastructure advisory and operations projects on time within budget and scope. The Project Manager must have a background in security technology infrastructure skills, business acumen, team management, budgeting, and analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex security technology projects/programs from design and development to production.
  • Develop project scopes, objectives, deliverables, and milestones involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring security technical feasibility.
  • Define requirements and plan project lifecycle deployment according to client agreed upon Master Service Agreements, Statement of Works, Service Orders, and Change Authorizations.
  • Identify required resources and schedule for project/program implementation.
  • Coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors for the on-time execution of projects within meetings for project status, stakeholder update, implementation/migration cut-over, issue resolution, etc.
  • Ensure that all Security projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation while developing a detailed project plan to track progress.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation such as project plan.
  • Deliver regular project status updates to key internal and client project sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks including creating strategy for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
  • Efficiently identifies and solves project issues.
  • Report and escalate project risks, actions, issues, and decisions to management as needed.
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.

Ideal Candidate Profile and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in the fields of computer science or engineering for technical project managers.
  • 3-5 years working experience as a project manager in the security technology sector.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification, SCRUM, or equivalent preferred.
  • Solid technical security background, with understanding or hands-on experience in threat management, vulnerability scanning, and security monitoring technologies.
  • IT Infrastructure migration experience highly preferred (AD/Email/Storage).
  • Excellent client-facing and internal written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated experience with managing multiple compliance, risk, security architecture, and security operations engagements is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
  • Ability to work during off hours and/or weekends.
  • Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
