Job Description :: Fulltime Role with TCS
Client seeks a Junior Employment law Attorney with experience litigating and advising on domestic employment law issues. \
The successful candidate will be part of a small Employment Law team, report to the Associate General Counsel – Head of Legal, USA, and provide legal support to our Human Resources Department.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day proactive employment law advice, guidance, assistance, and counseling.
- Work with HR to help manage and respond to employee relations issues, investigations, and grievances.
- Review disciplinary actions and terminations with HR.
- Assist in managing responses to subpoenas and document requests.
- Create, customize, and update release agreements for terminating employees.
- Respond to administrative complaints and Department of Labor investigations.
- Respond to EEOC and other complaints of discrimination.
- Assist with employment law litigation matters.
- Recommend, implement, and continuously improve employment law related training.
- Maintain employment law files and databases.
- Other matters as directed by Head of Legal, USA.
Qualifications:
- Three to five years of experience focused on employment law and litigation, preferably with some experience in-house.
- A law degree from a top tier law school and in good standing to practice in any state in the United States.
- Strong analytical capabilities and judgment.
- Ability to work proactively, independently, and reliably under tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team as well as cross-functionally across teams.
- Willingness to tackle matters outside area of expertise.
- Ability to interact with HR teams and other legal team members (hence this is an office role and not a work from home role)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $68,196.77 - $120,733.88 per year
