Kennel Assistants
Automation Personnel Services is looking for Kennel Assistants for a company based in Milton, Georgia. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for providing a clean, efficient, and healthy environment for the animals in daycare, boarding, or grooming at the Pet Resort.
Pay Rate
$19.00 per hour.
Schedule and Hours
Part time, hours and days will be determined based on needs of the Pet Resort.
Flexible schedule that includes some weekend/holiday shifts.
Kennel Assistants Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness of the resort, including kennel area, runs, and outside grounds.
- Feed appropriate food/amount to daycare and boarding pets when necessary
- Monitor and record important information about the animals’ conditions, behavior, and habits (elimination, eating, etc.).
- Walk animals three times a day or as otherwise directed.
- Notify manager or appropriate personnel of unusual medical or behavioral problems.
- Maintain laundry throughout the day and keep laundry area neat.
- Monitor and maintain the kennel inventory to include food, cleaning supplies, laundry supplies, etc.
- Completing other duties as assigned by the Resort Manager or other leadership to ensure optimal care of pets, customer service, and overall operation of the resort.
Kennel Assistants Qualifications and Requirements
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Flexible schedule including some weekend/holiday shifts.
- Must possess strong communication skills, good judgment and be able to manage stressful situations.
- Must have the physical and mental capacity to perform in a fast paced and challenging environment.
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. (lifting assessment to be completed at Automation)
- Previous experience as a kennel assistant strongly preferred.
- Drug screening and background check required.
