Assists the Registered Nurse in the delivery of nursing care. Practices nursing in accordance with Nursing/Hospital Policy, and Florida Nurse Practice Act. Care is rendered in accordance with physicians’ orders, recognized nursing techniques, established standards, policies and procedures. Works under the direction of an RN in planning, implementing and evaluating patient care. Contributes to the support of ShorePoint Health's nursing strategic plan (healthy work environment, clinical excellence, optimal patient outcomes). Meets annual hospital mandatory education requirements.

ShorePoint Port Charlotte is a 254-bed full-service facility with a care team comprised of roughly 900 associates, 100 volunteers, and over 300 physicians specializing in over 40 specialties.
