Position: Mentoring Match Coordinator
*
POSITION PURPOSE:*
The primary purpose of this position is to work in conjunction with the enrollment team to create and facilitate match relationships. Requires high attention to detail, strong customer service and organizational skills. Responsible for implementing Program Policies according to National and Agency Standards.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain accurate and timely data in electronic and physical files.

  • Assist interviewing team when identifying potential matches.
  • Oversee creation of pending matches in Match Force, including thorough completion of transmission notes.
  • Contact Volunteers within 24 business hours (1 day) of the pending match being created.
  • Contact Parent/Guardian within 24 hours of the Volunteer accepting the pending match.
  • Work with all parties to find a mutually agreeable date/time for match introduction.
  • Able to identify potential red flags during pre-match presentations.
  • Able to coach participants on potential match challenges or recommend match is dissolved
  • Address matching preferences with participants with transparency and work to reach an agreement on the proposed match.
  • Complete strong documentation for a clear transition to the facilitating and supporting colleagues.
  • Manage the customer experience by obtaining feedback from our participants.
  • Create and adjust the process for optimal satisfaction for all external and internal customers.
  • Communicate the expectations to ensure consistent facilitation of Match Intros.
  • Responsible for coordinating: the Match Intro Calendar, troubleshooting when a problem occurs, all facilitators are prepared.
  • During low times contribute to other key functions within the department.

EDUCATION & RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE*

EDUCATION AND *EXPERIENCE

  • Associate's Degree with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar field is preferred.
  • Experience working with Parents/Caregivers and Youth is preferred.
  • Experience interviewing, writing assessments and conducting home visits is preferred.
  • Experience working with a diverse population is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS*

  • Strong planning and organization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing and proof-reading skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work with a variety of staff, volunteers and families.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Technology/computer skills needed. Proficient in the following platforms: MS Office Suite (specifically Word, Excel, & Teams); Outlook, & Zoom.

  • Flexible work hours to meet the needs of youth, families, and volunteers, including nights and weekends.
  • Home & school visits are a required part of the job.
  • Must have car, valid driver's license, and meet state-required automobile insurance minimums.

COMPENSATION AND *BENEFITS
Hourly rate will be based upon professional and academic experience (pay range - $19.00 per hour-$20.50 per hour).
401(k)-3%match per year following the first year of employment.
.625 cents reimbursement on business miles and 100% of out-of-office parking for business meetings, etc.
Immediate and 100% coverage on health and dental insurance.
Life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance following the first ninety days of employment.

10 days of paid vacation after one year of service.
Accrue 1 day per month of sick leave (can also be used for family illnesses) - can carry up to 30 days of sick leave.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.50 per hour
