This job is ON - SITE. - Position will work directly with patients in our bariatric surgery and medically supervised weight loss programs. Will assist with coordinating scheduling according to patient's individualized plan. Attention to detail and exceptional communication skills needed

Shift: 1 (Monday through Friday. Hours generally 8am to 430pm with flexibility to adjust start and end times by 30-60 mins)

Job Summary:

The Patient Access Service Representative (PASR) Senior follows the Froedtert and the Medical College Performance Excellence Customer Service Standards. Greets and arrives patients. Verifies and updates demographic information. Collects monies for copays, supplies, and services rendered. Balances daily cash collections. Obtains patient signatures. Assists patients with ancillary appointment scheduling and forms. Schedules, cancels, and reschedules patient appointments. Answers and directs telephone calls. Under general supervision, supports operations of the clinic for organization and productivity in collaboration with leadership.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

A minimum of 2 years of prior receptionist/clerical experience or comparable education and training experience is required. Experience preferred: A minimum of 3 years of prior informal or formal leadership experience preferred. Experience in a medical/healthcare setting is preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

High School diploma or equivalent is required.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

Excellent communication, oral and written are required. Effective customer service skills to effectively deal with internal and external customers is required. Ability to use standard office equipment: copier, computer terminal, document scanner and printer, fax machine and multi-line telephone. Strong proactive organizational skills a must. Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word. Knowledge of medical terminology and EpicCare is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred.
