Job Description

What you will do: Meets the personal comfort and convenience needs of the patient and helps to facilitate the operations of the Reference Laboratory Department related to those needs. Performs a variety of routine and complex specimen collection procedures. Accurately completes a variety of data entry tasks, including test order entry and insurance verification. Communicates in a professional and courteous manner with patients, family and other medical personnel as necessary to solve problems, obtain information for laboratory records, explain procedures, allay fears and elicit cooperation.

Hours: Full-time 8 hours shifts; 7am-4:30pm; Requires weekend and holiday rotations

Locations: Edward Hospital (801 S. Washington St Naperville) and will be required to rotate to other sites affiliated with Edward Hospital

What you will need:

  • High School Diploma or GED or higher
  • Current CPR (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
  • Valid Illinois Driver's License and auto insurance
  • Completion of a phlebotomy training program
