Foundry Technician will:

• Support foundry equipment and processes (Wax Injection presses, Shell, Pour & Finishing Equipment)
• Perform routine process testing and adjust the process inputs as required (i.e. testing/adjusting slurry, oven mapping activities, etc.)
• Attend daily production meetings and support Operations to ensure Production goals are met
• Perform detailed scrap reviews
• Have ability to learn all areas/equipment of the Foundry and become S.M.E.
• Act as liaison between Operations & Engineering
• Oversee Maintenance activity and advise if Operations or Engineering support is required
• Have basic compliance awareness and be familiar with working in a regulated industry
• Help ensure Housekeeping / Foundry Best Practices are in place and being followed
• Ensure compliance with all FDA, ISO, quality, safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of two years experience working in a manufacturing operation is required.
• A minimum of two years experience working/supporting a foundry operation is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a Medical Device and/or regulated work environment is preferred.
• Experience with metal processing is preferred
• Knowledge of LEAN methodology is a plus
• Process validation experience is a plus
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
