The Scrum Master II position for Coinstar’s Consumer Products departments plays a pivotal facilitation role in the concept, design, and delivery phases of enhancing existing and creating new products for Coinstar customers. As Coinstar follows a Scrum implementation of Agile, this role facilitates backlog grooming, sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint demos, and sprint retrospectives and is integral to continuous improvement initiatives in Coinstar’s product delivery. This role is the administrator of Coinstar’s agile tools which are largely Jira and Confluence. The Scrum Master II position works closely with our Product, Project Management, Software Engineering, QA, Deployment, Enterprise Information Management, and Enterprise Architecture functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of Coinstar consumer product execution leveraging Agile Scrum.
• Facilitate key aspects of sprint delivery including backlog grooming, sprint planning, stand-up meetings, sprint demos, sprint retrospectives and other related Agile Scrum activities.
• Provide key metrics to all teams involved regarding delivery schedules, sprint health, velocity, risks and issues, and other key insights.
• Lead efforts to remove blockers by engaging multiple parties and facilitating discussions on paths forward.
• Partner with project managers who are responsible for managing and supporting departmental project work to provide a cohesive view of the project.
• Champion agile process improvements by working with core team members.
• Administer Coinstar agile delivery tools including Jira and Confluence.
• Partner with third-party delivery teams when applicable to share best practices and harmonize workstreams.
• Train resources as applicable on Coinstar’s Agile Scrum methodologies and best practices.
• Stay current with agile industry trends to shape future process improvement work.
• Evaluate tool roadmap capabilities in alignment with Coinstar delivery needs.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant area of study or a related field.
• 3+ years of Agile Scrum master experience.
• 1+ year of Jira administration experience.
• Experience with continuous process improvement frameworks and have played a key role in process reengineering.
• Experience with virtual whiteboarding technologies like Lucid, Mural, and Miro desired.
• Experience with consumer product delivery is desired.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Extremely strong verbal and written communicator with the ability to communicate to multiple levels in the organization.
• Very organized and efficient in how the responsibilities of this role are executed.
• Strong in administering Jira workflow, backlog and sprint, and epic management, user story attribution, reporting, and user access.
• Ability to lead and mentor other team members.
• Strong in user story best practices including the use of personas, acceptance criteria, and scope relative to sprint duration.
• Ability to see risks as they arise in either process or product so as to mitigate where possible as early as feasible.
• Strong virtual facilitation capability given most of the team members work remotely.

• This position requires little to no business travel.

Pay and Benefits

For Washington State or jurisdictions that require the publication of salary ranges, the base salary range for this position is $79,307- $142,735. For this role, new hires generally start between $99,000-$118,000. Coinstar utilizes geographically based pay ranges, within the United States, which allows us to pay competitively and consistently based on location. Within the range for the applicable geographic area, individual pay is determined by several factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share the salary range specific to your location. Short-Term bonus incentives are a part of the total compensation package and are based on Company and Individual performance.

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment.
