Description:

Actalent is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer the hardware team of a Cybersecurity company in Arlington.

You will be responsible for:

• tracking product quality
• implementing process improvements
• write documents to support ISO standard certification
• designing process controls, evaluating, and reporting production defects and nonconformities to ensure our products exceed customer expectations.

As the Quality Engineer to join the team you’ll be charged with developing and implementing production processes, inspection methodologies and the systems necessary to continue improvement of the products. This is a new role, so this person will be charged with building a function, while training and ensuring the team is following the processes and practices they build.

In this role you be expected to:

• Develop and implement processes and procedures to promote the delivery of high quality products
• Collaborate with team members and suppliers to facilitate problem-solving, corrective action, evaluation, development and communication of quality improvement plans and metrics as needed
• Conduct quality and process improvement projects and establish best practices to maximize production, reduce waste and improve efficiencies
• Outlines priorities and deadlines for process improvement and correcting quality control issues

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ yrs exp working in quality-related roles (experience in an electronic production company highly preferred)
• Exp implementing engineering and process improvement tools and techniques in a deadline driven environment
• Exp with designing experiments to measure quality control
• Self-motivated with strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Experience with quality standards (ISO9000 family, AS9100)
