Part Time
Provides quality nursing care established by regulatory standards to adults/aging adults requiring hemodialysis/peritoneal in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements, and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during exams and procedures. Performs patient tests and administers medications within scope of practice of the registered nurse. Promotes patient independence by establishing goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Requires an associate's degree and license as a registered nurse. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures for dialysis.
