Atelier Maison & Co. is the Elevated Furnishings Destination in Asheville and Cashiers NC, focusing on sustainable, healthy, non-toxic, design forward furnishings and is looking for an exceptional salesperson to join our team!

This position is for a part-time candidate with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome. You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products and services and recommend solutions. A drive to achieve results and reach goals will make you successful in this role.

The focus of this job is making connections with people. We are very relationship centric and place a high level of importance on customer service and good team culture. The individual in this role should exhibit poise and an engaging, empathetic communication style based on natural warmth and enthusiasm, which is the key to achieving the goals of this job.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate or similar role
  • Computer and Technology literate and proficient
  • Understanding of the retail sales process
  • Familiarity with consumer behavior principles
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
  • Flexibility to work various shifts

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meets required monthly sales and productivity standards.
  • Demonstrates strong product knowledge (furniture, accessories, design styles, fabrics)
  • Organizes and prioritizes client lead follow-up
  • Generate and cultivate business.
  • Performs proactive and consistent follow-up with all guests before and after the sale and at delivery.
  • Works to improve performance based on feedback provided by store management.
  • Promptly solves guest concerns.
  • Performs all opening and closing duties as directed
  • Accurately performs all systems functions and maintain operational standards
  • Works in collaboration with all team members
  • Responsible individual with utmost professional integrity

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred work experience in a luxe retail environment
  • Sales experience, and strong sales history in meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Preferred outbound sales call experience
  • Ability to work some evenings depending on store events, and weekends
  • M-F; with some rotations on weekends
  • Computer literacy and POS experience
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision/self-motivated.
  • Ability to work well with others.

COMPENSATION:

Structure is base salary plus commission.

Base Salary of $40,000 for full time, plus sales commission and benefits
The most driven candidates will have unlimited earning potential. This is an excellent opportunity to have an earning potential of $65,000- to $80,000+ per year once established and relationships are built, while working limited retail hours for full-time employees plus benefits.
