Job Description

The Arizona Sports Foundation dba Fiesta Bowl offers several Seasonal Associate positions beginning September 2023 and ending in January 2024. Positions are non-exempt/paid and are not benefits eligible. Usual work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and will increase substantially through the months of November and December to include nights and weekends. Candidates must have access to reliable transportation and will be subject to background checks. Hourly rate of pay is $16.50.
This position will report to the Communications & Social Media Manager and will include but not be limited to assistance with writing projects, media relations, publications, event production/management, website and social media content collection/development. The successful candidate will possess the following qualities: advanced writing skills, outstanding attention to detail, experience working within tight deadlines, social media acumen and football knowledge. Relevant writing samples will be requested during the interview process.
Responsibilities:
  • Produce and distribute company e-blasts and e-newsletters
  • Write creative/feature stories, editorial pieces, press releases and scripts
  • Assist with content creation for game and event-related collateral, including game programs, media guides and game day guides
  • Assist with the execution of game week and game day media operations elements as well as management of media operations volunteers
  • Process purchase orders/quotes and vendor invoices
  • Assist with planning and management of communications, digital media strategy and event media relations
  • Create social media content to align with Fiesta Bowl and Guaranteed Rate Bowl brand standards
  • Track and report organizational earned media
  • Maintain and update media contact lists
  • Manage day-to-day needs of the communications staff and complete general office tasks
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree, or currently in progress
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly and long hours standing
  • Proven examples of success working under pressure, while maintaining attention to detail
  • Dependability and flexibility to work long hours including evenings and weekends
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred
