The Wheaton Urban District is located within the Community Engagement Cluster. The Wheaton Urban District provides special services to the Central Business District to ensure that downtown Wheaton is maintained in a clean, safe, and attractive manner to promote a vibrant social and business environment and long-term economic viability and vitality. About the Position:
The Wheaton Urban District is seeking three (3) Public Service Worker II ’s , a ci vic-minded person with a strong desire to provide a valuable service to the Wheaton community. These employees w ill work in a team environment and be responsible for the maintenance and beautification of the downtown v icinity. The work-shifts vary, either 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The individuals selected for these positions will be considered an "Essential Employee". Essential employees must report to work during a period of general emergency or liberal leave. A valid driver’s license is required to maintain employment. This is a position of public trust which requires selected candidates to pass a drug and alcohol screening test, and medical examination.
