Job Description


Project

  • Primary focus on customer project with high ETO share, new development & cost down.
  • Participation in project kick-off meeting
  • Preventive clarification of feasibilities and cost drivers in collaboration with engineering
  • Early identification of high-value requirements and long-runners in projects - involvement of Strategic Procurement as required
  • Creation of demand transparency / quantity structure in the project
  • Demanding neutral specifications, framework conditions
  • Clarification of technical details with suppliers and engineering
  • Allocation of project requirements according to material fields
  • Controlling the material field teams in the project
  • Ensuring the allocation of requirements under competition
  • Developing and presenting the project purchasing strategy
  • First contact person for sales / engineering for new projects in purchasing
  • Support for sales in quotation calculation in the project, e.g. determination of AKEB for modules
  • Maintenance of a project pipeline for an assigned plant (incl. priorities, fore-cast)
  • Cross-functional coordination of quotations in the project - e.g. with Sales, Engineering
  • Other
  • Participate/lead design to cost and cost down initiatives.
  • Execution/support of "make or buy" investigations for cost optimization
  • Ensuring the implementation of the purchasing strategy incl. necessary coordination in engineering to achieve the goals (time, cost, quality)
  • Assumption of product responsibility for support of continuous cost-down activities, preparation of project forecast, variant management, etc.

Qualifications
  • University or UAS education, technical background (engineering or manufacturing).
  • Min. 3 years of professional experience
  • Advanced product and production process know-how
  • Experience with functional leadership within complex matrix organizations
  • Advanced project management skills
  • Advanced facilitation skills
  • Negotiation skills and knowledge of advanced purchasing methods (forward bundling)
  • Basic legal knowledge (purchase contracts)
  • Market know-how (state-of-the-art production processes)
  • Budget planning and purchasing controlling
  • Advanced knowledge in product cost calculation
  • Language skills (German, English, 3rd language desirable)
  • Travel activity up to 30%
