Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer with Satellite Ground Control System experience to join our team!

In this role you will get to support the design, development, and deployment of software to support spacecraft ground system requirements.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Coordinate within dynamic multi-disciplined engineering teams for emerging and legacy spacecraft programs
• Develop software using C++ in both Windows and Linux environments
• Design, implement, and deploy software for command and control systemd owned and operated by Parsons corporation, flying commercial and government satellites
• Troubleshoot and report software anomalies
• Apply agile development practices and techniques to adapt to rapidly changing requirements and schedules
• Work in a collaborative team environment
• Occasional travel related to mission integrations

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study with a minimum of five (5) years of related work experience.
• Proficiency developing and testing software in both Windows and Linux environments
• Proficiency in software development using C++
• Experience with XML Telemetric and Command Exchange (XTCE), Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems (CCSDS) data, and object-oriented design
• Experience working with relational databases such as SQLServer or MariaDB
• Excellent trouble-shooting skills

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Proficiency with the end-to-end satellite and ground system development process and software development lifecycle
• Experience using team collaboration tools including Git, Bitbucket, and Jira
• Experience with Satellite Operations
• Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
• This position is a member of our COTS Products Team. We deploy and maintain our products on Government, Commercial, and Parsons satellite ground control systems.

Salary Range:

$100,400.00 - $175,700.00
