Description:

Ideal candidates will be interested in making a lasting impact developing a new set of revolutionary systems in a rapidly growing company. The pace of development is fast, and the team is highly experienced. The resulting software development activity will be highly visible and critical to the initial productization. Ideal candidates will have software experience with large data rate hardware and processing systems.

• Contribute to software requirements capture and design of processing pipeline for high data rate video sensor systems
• Develop efficient embedded implementations for processing and data distribution within networked, multi-node systems
• Develop embedded implementations to support hardware interface integration
• Unit-testing and benchmarking of resulting implementations with live sensors using target deployment hardware environments
• Evaluation and integration of third-party open-source frameworks for processing (as necessary)
• Support company teams in software engineering aspects of new product designs and development

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum

• 3+ years of experience with B.S. in technical discipline (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, etc.); 1+ years of experience with graduate degree in technical discipline
• Experience developing and unit-testing object-oriented software for C++ in Linux production environment
• Experience developing software for multi-threaded application architectures
• Demonstrated experience in the following areas:
• Efficient implementation of data processing in embedded environments
• Modern software development environments and processes (e.g., source control, bug tracking, build systems, etc.)

Preferred

• Experience in some of the following areas:
• Processing or sensor hardware interface implementation and integration
• User interface, web service, or database development in client-server architectures
• Scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, etc.) for driving testing and simulation
• Containerization techniques and strategies
• NVIDIA CUDA development and interfaces

Occasional travel (< 5%) will be required to support software integration and test activities.
