Unity Point Health - Eyerly Ball is seeking a full-time Community Support Specialist in our Ames, Iowa location to join our team, Monday-Friday.

As a Community Support Specialist, you will partner with adults who have mental illnesses assisting them in leading healthy happy lives.

How? In a variety of ways that may include:

  • Running errands and shopping with individuals, helping them make healthy choices and assisting with the navigation of payment methods (such as food stamps)
  • Explaining how to set-up a budget, how to follow it and how to save money
  • Arranging needed services or resources to enable individuals to live, work and enjoy the community they live in
  • Driving clients to scheduled appointments, helping them set a schedule they can manage and follow
  • Adapting to situations, providing care and services that match the client’s need
  • Monitoring mental health symptoms, supportive relationships and how the induvial is navigating through their daily life

Requirements:

To be Considered, You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in human services or related field
  • Prior experience, preferably one or more years, working with mental health clients
  • Valid driver's license and required to provide proof of insurance when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons
