The base salary range for a Business Systems Analyst II is $64,000 to $90,000. Actual salaries will vary by geographic location and are based on factors such as candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company performance and individual performance.
A Business Systems Analyst II will:
- Perform systems analysis, data analysis, and production support for service management and collaboration systems as well as integration touchpoints to those systems.
- Use low code/no-code as well as traditional tools to enable integration with service management and collaboration systems to further productivity enhancements.
- Work on small to large projects that have system-wide impact. Must be able to develop skills in multiple technical environments and grasp business processes. Assist with basic to complex support issues and performs as a subject matter expert (SME).
Essential Duties:
- Perform project activities including requirements gathering, configurations, testing, training and go live support. Work with vendors to resolve issues, deliver system enhancements and support the application.
- Track escalated issues, perform root cause analysis, implement solutions, and support large group initiatives.
- Serve as a technical expert on all aspects of data & application support.
- Cross-train, serve as a mentor to, and may lead and direct the work of other Business Systems Analysts.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
- Understanding of general system design and client server environments
- Expert problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels
- Understanding of project management methodologies
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to effectively facilitate meetings
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years’ programming, systems analysis, or business analysis experience, equivalent work experience and/or demonstrated competency.
- Experience working in a team-oriented collaborative environment.
- Or, equivalent military experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- LOMA Courses; Masters Degree
- Experience with process mapping/process documentation.
- Proven analytical and problem solving experience.
- Configuration experience with Enterprise applications.
- Vast knowledge of insurance.
- Programming or SQL Experience.

A Senior Business Systems Analyst will:
- Perform systems analysis, data analysis, and production support for company applications and administration systems.
- Serve as the project lead for moderate to large profile projects.
- Gather, analyze, document and validate the needs of business stakeholders.
- Provide functional requirement documents including inputs, processing steps and outputs to meet users' needs to assist developers in successfully translating and achieving project goals.
- Create training documents and maintains project files and updates.
- Facilitate training on new systems and/or process implementations.
- Help with the analysis of workable solutions to application, web, and systems problems.
- Focus on timely methods for achieving deliverables.
- Work on moderate to large projects that have system-wide impact.
- Must be able to develop skills in multiple technical environments and grasp business processes.
- Assist with moderate to complex support issues and performs as a subject matter expert (SME).
