Job Description

The Construction Planner III provides overall program management, organization support, and full resource management both by individual and full program oversight. Coordinate and assists with the administration of multiple small and or/short duration projects for the client for the entire life cycle of the project. The majority of reporting is to the client with updates provided to the responsible Construction Manager, Project Manager, or Director. The Construction Planner III typically works side-by-side with the client and most often works out of the client’s facility. (This purpose is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon management.)


Essential Position Functions:

  • Plans, coordinates, oversees and inspects new, rebuild an upgraded construction projects

  • Perform field engineering and works with design team for cost estimates

  • Obtain right of way agreements

  • Read and interpret civil engineering and MOT drawings

  • Establish and manage timelines

  • Established monitor and update projects and applicable business systems

  • Coordinate with utilities, commercial customers, developers, building owners and municipalities

  • As build documentation

  • Functions as customer representative with state and local entities

  • Client signoff, perform invoicing, and other project closure functions in which you will be required to meet a high % per customer score card from a Planner II

  • Maintain knowledge of policies procedures and reforms in accordance with design

  • Performs project updates in the customer software program and must be knowledge with computer functions, excel, word, power point and project.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Must have Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s degree is preferred

  • 5+ years of experience within the Telecommunications industry with focus on Wireless or Cable. (Construction Industry experience also considered)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software with strong experience in MS Excel

  • PMI certification is a plus

  • Excellent customer interfacing skills

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to facilitate effective meetings and coordinate resources

  • Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and work efficiently

  • Ability to problem solve and perform analysis

  • Familiarity with technical concepts, terms, and practices used in the Telecom industry

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
