Objective:
To provide efficient service in construction, operations, replacement, removal and maintenance work on electrical transmission lines and substations.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Be able to perform all duties of line crew personnel including but not limited to:
Be able to instruct and assist apprentice lineman and to accomplish the work in a safe and productive manner.
Must have acquired a working knowledge of applied electricity and AC electrical circuits.
Must be able to work from sketches and specification sheets.
Assist Substation Foreman/Line Foreman in all types of substation construction and/or maintenance.
Work with the Reliability Compliance Officer, Area Managers, supervisor and each department to assist with the development and implementation of processes and procedures necessary to meet the requirements of the Reliability Standards identified by the Reliability Compliance Plan. Review and provide recommendations to proposed Reliability Standards that affect the PPI Cooperatives. Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with approved Compliance Procedures. Report any suspected violations of non-compliance to the Reliability Compliance Officer.
Accept and perform other related duties and responsibilities which may be assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements:
High school and associate or two-year technical degree in electrical technology or related field required. Closely related and progressive job experience may substitute for a portion of the educational requirements.
Three-year Apprentice Lineman completion
Five years electrical experience required
CDL Driver License and physical card
Traffic Control Certificate, CPR, and First Aid
