Northrop Grumman has an exciting opening for a Principal / Sr Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist at our Mesa, Arizona location.

Please note this position may be filled at the Principal or Senior Principal level, depending on the candidate’s education and/or years of experience

Position Description

Supports the definition and development of the material strategy for a program portfolio. Supports the assessment of supply resources; aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements; planning inventory, distribution requirements, production, material and rough-cut capacity for all products. Participates in make/buy process, long-term capacity and resource planning; product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management and product-line management. Analyzes and aggregates supply/demand requirements. Analyzes purchase material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools. Plans inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements. Assesses rough-cut capacity for current and short-term manufacturing requirements. Creates/reduces supply requirements based on inventory adjustments. Participates in long-term capacity and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs. Interfaces with Source process area regarding inventory levels, working capital and other areas as needed. Approves requisitions. Receives/reviews requirements for non-standard parts. Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements. Participates in proposal and material pricing activities associated with responding to customer RFPs. Responsible for material program budgets and analyzing program material cost inputs through the EAC financial reporting process.

Required Qualifications for Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist

• This position emphasizes skills first.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field of study plus 6 years of experience, or master’s degree plus 4 years of experience.
• In the absence of a bachelor’s degree, 10 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Materials management or relevant field may be considered.

Required Qualifications for Sr Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field of study plus 10 years of experience, or master’s degree plus 8 years of experience.
• In the absence of a bachelor’s degree, 14 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Materials management or relevant field may be considered

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Deltek Costpoint ERP tools
• Proficiency in MS Excel

Salary Range: $74,600 USD - $111,800 USD

Salary Range 2: $92,400 USD - $138,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
