Principal Responsibilities

Supporting multiple departments, the Salesforce Administrator maintains the Salesforce database for donor, volunteer, and caseload management. This includes, but is not limited to, database maintenance, reporting, and mail list generation and other duties necessary for healthy data and efficient processes.

This position requires multiple skills and experience in managing varied tasks, excellent teamwork skills, and the commitment to follow through. The ideal candidate will be flexible, well-organized and detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The Salesforce Administrator must demonstrate in their performance adherence to established policies and procedures exhibiting the defined characteristics associated with attendance and punctuality.


Major Duties

  • Learn and maintain the existing Salesforce platform and its integrated add-on products, ensuring consistent usability
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining an internal, “customer-oriented” service to collect, enter, store, and provide access to data as requested by various staff members
  • Respond to questions and requests via St. Anthony’s ticketing system in a timely manner
  • Create reports and dashboards to support all users, operations, and system performance as needed
  • Ensure adequate data security protocols are in place
  • Remain current on the latest releases and features available on the Salesforce platform and related relevant products (including, but not limited to: Nonprofit Success Pack, S-Docs)
  • Drive the evaluation of new features or add-on applications for possible future inclusion in St. Anthony’s Salesforce implementation
  • Maintain high-quality documentation of system configuration and automations
  • Perform routine data quality tasks, including de-duplication and mass updates as needed to support operations
  • Design, facilitate, and support staff training and best practice standards for the successful use of the database including support resources and documentation

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum three years of experience with, and current knowledge of, Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP)
  • Extensive experience creating custom objects, validation rules, formulas, triggers, and flows
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce security management including user profiles, records, permissions and access
  • Experience with FormAssembly strongly preferred
  • Certified Salesforce Administrator is highly desirable
  • Active on Trailheads and the Trailblazer Community
  • Technically skilled with Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent internal communication skills and a commitment to proactive communication
  • Flexible and open to new ideas, data strategies and management guidance
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to data integrity and quality of work
  • Able to take initiative, work independently and also perform as a team player
