**$4000 sign on bonus being offered**
Busy multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center seeking full time certified surgical scrub tech. Position is Monday through Friday with no weekends or holidays. Candidate must be dependable and cooperative with physicians and other co-workers. Scope of service for this center includes orthopedics, GYN, ENT, general surgery, gastroenterology, pain management, and plastics.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned:
1. Efficiently and effectively assists physician with operative procedures
Anticipates surgeon/physician’s needs both in preparing for procedures and during procedure
Demonstrates knowledge of specific responsibilities in all emergency situations.
2. Ensures sterility of all supplies and instruments during set up of surgical procedures.
3. Handles instruments in a manner which prolongs “life” of instrument.
4. Assists circulating nurse and surgical team in maintaining sterile environment.
5. Assists circulating nurse in gathering necessary surgical supplies and equipment. Is responsible for doing sponge, needle, and instrument count pre-operatively and intra-operative with the circulating nurse.
6. Gowns and gloves surgeons and assistants.
7. Assists in keeping physician preference cards accurate/updated.
8. Transports all surgical equipment to appropriate cleaning areas. Assists in sterile supply with cleaning and reprocessing of instrument sets.

Required Experience:
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma / GED; completion of a Scrub Technician Certification Program.
4 years experience as a Scrub Tech in multiple specialties or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
CPR certification required.
Orthopedic (podiatry, sports ortho, total joints, hand/wrist) experience preferred
