Job Description
Infineon Technologies Americas Corp. is seeking a Sr. Staff Engineer(San Jose, CA) to work with Infineon’s Server, Communication, Consumer, and Industrial customers and respective marketing teams to define and develop Point of Load (POL) and Power Stage (PS) modules. Specify the MOSFETs, the components (L’s and C’s) and packaging technology requirements for POL and PS modules. Validate the individual components for POL modules, including PCB, capacitors inductors and MOSFET along with the module design. If interested apply today!
In your new role you will:
- Work with internal development teams to verify module operation is fully validate d, can be built in high volume, and that it meets target requirements.
- Work with QA and production to validate the modules for high-volume manufacturing. Gain customer and application knowledge and understand device usage in end-application through regular Customer interaction.
- Work with strategic customers to develop concepts for differentiated modules.
- Work internally with the system architecture team to create innovative solutions to address challenging customer applications.
- Create go-to-market evaluation boards, datasheets, application notes and design tools for new products and support customer project design-in activities.
- Provide second-level support for complex technical inquiri es from customers.
- Drive problem-solving by simulations, system evaluation and bench testing.
- Provide advanced technical training to regional FAE s on how to use Infineon components to enhance the value of end-Customers’ products.
- Benchmark competitors’ products and generate promotional material and collaterals(test reports, application notes, white papers) for product promotion.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in electrical engineering and Electronic Engineering or a related field and 5 years of power-related experience . Must have the following experience
- Power conversion topologies, power device, magnetics and control loop design
- MOSFET’s, Gate Drivers, Capacitors, Inductors and use of these components in POL modules
- Using digital oscilloscopes, function generators, network analyze rs and similar lab equipment for the test and debug of switching power supplies
- Using schematic entry, circuit simulation, and PCB layout tools
- Matlab/Simulink, SIMetrix, or similar engineering tools

Wage Range that the Company Expects to pay for a qualified candidate:
Minimum of $138,400.00 Salary per year
Maximum of $190,300.00 Salary per year
In addition, all employees will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
