Private Equity Associate

What You Will Be Doing

We are searching for a Private Equity Associate in the Washington D.C. area to monitor venture capital portfolio activity and execute platform investments.

Job responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
  • Execute and structure M&A transactions for portfolio companies
  • Produce financial models and forecasts as needed
  • Analyze and monitor post-investment portfolio company performance
  • Provide investment analysis, due diligence, underwriting, and other finance activities as needed
  • Manage capital calls, distributions, expense allocations, and investor reports
  • Serve as liaison with management team, intermediaries, and other parties
  • Participate in capital events
  • Optimize workflow efficiency and streamline with the implementation of new processes and systems
  • Complete ad hoc projects as requested

What You Need for this Position

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 2+ years of investment banking and/or private equity experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience using financial modeling software
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Excellent work ethic with a team-player mentality
  • Desire for long-term growth
  • MBA is a plus
