Job Description


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Relations and Social Media Manager to join our team. As the Public Relations and Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective public relations strategies and managing our presence on various social media platforms. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our brand image and engaging with our target audience. The successful candidate will have a strong background in public relations, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of social media platforms and trends.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with CMO, senior marketing leadership, and top tier boutique agencies (in US and India) to develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure positive media coverage.
  • Write and distribute press releases, media kits, and other communications materials to relevant media channels.
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on the effectiveness of public relations efforts.
  • Plan and execute media events, press conferences, and product launches.
  • Manage crisis communications by responding to media inquiries and handling sensitive issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, news, and competitors' activities to identify potential PR opportunities and risks.
  • Develop and implement social media strategies to drive engagement, increase followers, and generate leads.
  • Create and curate compelling content for social media platforms, including text, images, and videos.
  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics, track performance, and prepare reports on key insights and recommendations.
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and manage online communities to build brand loyalty and advocacy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and customer support, to align PR and social media efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Stay abreast of emerging social media platforms and trends, and recommend new strategies to maximize reach and impact.
  • Manage social media advertising campaigns and budgets, and optimize performance based on key metrics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a Public Relations and Social Media Manager or similar role.
  • Experience in hyper growth market leading B2B SaaS company.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • In-depth knowledge of public relations principles, practices, and strategies.
  • Proficient in using social media management and analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing media relations and securing positive media coverage.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas for PR and social media campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with SEO and content marketing principles.
  • Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Experience in crisis management and handling sensitive issues effectively.
  • Knowledge of graphic design and video editing software is a plus.
  • Professional certification in public relations or social media management is a plus.
