JOB DESCRIPTION
This Senior Project Manager - Stations monitors various station projects and traffic light reports (TLR).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Determine projects to be removed or added to the TLR.
- Review and verify project information provided and coordinate with agency project status reports.
- Identify projects with deficiencies via cost & schedule KPIs.
- Confirmation of data to be utilized for follow-up analysis.
- Meet with BU Leads to discuss projects which triggered variances.
- Meet with C&D Executives to highlight various projects.
- Publish Report for presentation to the MTA Board at CPC meeting.
- Track whether agency responses to resolve project red triggers were implemented & results achieved.
- Track projects with multiple red designations to draw any "lessons learned" &/or for future analysis.
- Compile triggers, root causes, &/or resolutions in a useable database for all design, procurement & construction projects
- Formulate a general database of information for all active projects tracking prior triggers, trending, root causes, etc. for immediate analysis.
- Track Trending for all Projects to draw conclusions from data over the course of the life of the TLR
- Responsible for communicating with clients, MTA BUs: Stations, Infrastructure, Signals/Train Controls, Systems, NYCT In-house, NYCT Track Program, MNR, LIRR, MTA Bus and B&T; design professionals and other project stakeholders regarding project details and specifications and issues.
- Attend project meetings as required and document, distribute and communicate issues discussed, including resolution of open items, remedy work, schedule conflicts and cost issues in reports for the IEC, OCO and MTA's Capital Program Oversight Committee.
- Provide detailed project management with the objective of providing insight to the MTA Board on the efficiency and effectiveness of the MTA Capital Program. Services may include review of current project management records, bid documents, scope, budget estimates, schedules, drawings, specifications, change orders, submittals, requisitions, quality and forecast work activities. Project evaluations may also include review of final construction documents, verification of appropriate project permits, site mobilization, contract negotiations, value engineering, review of change order requests, drawing and document submittals, request for information, coordination of work activities, baseline schedule, project expenditures, payment requisitions, work in progress activities, look ahead work schedules, job progress, overall quality, workmanship and the requirements to achieve substantial completion.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to the client, site safety manager, and Project Director.
- Provide support as needed for researching, compiling, analyzing, editing, reviewing, verifying and completing any task, report, proposal or duty to ensure the professional objectives and requirements of the IEC contract.
- IEC’s Interface with MTAIT and C&D Project Performance Group
- Perform other duties as required.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Possess a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related. Advanced degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Construction is a plus.
- Minimum 25+ years of related experience monitoring station projects.
- Prior experience supporting MTA projects is required.
- Possess strong verbal, written, presentation and excellent client management skills.
- Excellent time management skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize competing project obligations.
- MS Office Suite
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $185,000 - $201,385.60. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
